Team Leaders sprays
This blog will not only be filled with my original ideas and designs, but it will have some fan-art! I admit that I did a lot of fan art in my teenage years.
This idea originally was just going to be the Team Magma leader (Maxie) and Team Aqua (Archie) sprays onto Pokemon Trading cards themed on the two Teams. Since the cards were of poor quality and the sprays smudged easily, I gave up and pondered on how I could use those two spray designs. I thought of a propaganda styled poster but I thought it to be "too obvious" and unoriginal. I ended up being stuck on ideas, then I was suggested to create a set of sprays of all the Team leaders in the main Pokemon series. This explains the reason why I have been late on my weekly postings!
To be brutally honest, I'm not entirely satisfied with my final outcome. Cyrus and N look rushed but N was such a pain to create so its kind of understandable why he looks the least appealing out of the group!

La Poosy Cat.
I was lazy not finishing this earlier and not posting it as soon as possible, my apologies for this week's piece being late!
The painting was based off a picture I took on my trip in Kefalonia in May. I wanted to try watercolour painting again and I'm pretty satisfied with the results. I think I could have added a bit more detail to painting but I feared of tearing the paper due to overuse of paint/water!
This piece was created with using only watercolour paint and a small hint of a black fine liner. The picture was touched up and added a signature watermark (using a graphics tablet) on Photoshop.

I don't give a hoot.
This idea popped into my mind when me and Jack (my boyfriend) played a game where we had to choose three things and draw them in some bizarre scenario in under a few minutes. I ended up thinking of a silly scenario of what would owls wear if they slept during the daytime?
This was created with mostly collage of felt and old birthday/Christmas cards I cut up. The background and sun were made with watercolour pencils.

Bloop
Whew, finally posted something here!
I wanted to create something from water themed textures that I created through experimenting. I created the textures for the octopus and jellyfish by applying water on tissue paper and making the dye bleed onto the paper. The bubble background was created by getting a tray that is bigger than a A4 piece of paper. I poured in bubble solution and some ink and blew into a straw and transfer the bubbles created onto a a3 sheet of paper. These were then scanned into Photoshop and some of the hue/saturation was changed. I'm happy with these results yet I feel it is missing something or something else needs to be added. I used Paint Tool Sai for drawing the octopus while the jellyfish was drawn on paper with a Sharpie.
